A good design work will arouse people's emotion. The designer jumps out of the traditional style memory and puts a new experience in the magnificent and futuristic space structure. An immersive environmentalism experience hall is built through the careful placement of artistic installations, clear movement of space and decorative surface paved by materials and colors. Being in it is not only a return to nature, but also a beneficial journey.
Continue readingFengyuan Original is an interior design for a restaurant that serves coconut water chicken hotpot. The shape of the coconut tree is abstracted into a single symbol, the palm leaf, produced in eight forms from green plated and polished stainless steel, each four meters long. A total of 475 metal leaves are arranged across the interior, forming partitions that separate functional areas and turn the restaurant into a large installation. A water feature, lamps and tables complete the setting. The use of one material and factory prepared parts keeps cost and construction time under control.
Continue readingYuimu is a Japanese restaurant located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The double-storey loft space is divided into a yakitori section, a sake bar, a private dining area and an omakase counter. The interior is built without any wood or boards, so alternative materials were sourced, and a large part of the decoration is made of cement. All materials are zero formaldehyde, environmentally friendly and recycled, in line with international green standards. The lighting refers to the four seasons and ranges from soft to strong.
Continue readingThe Strata Springscape beauty salon is surrounded by a world of strata and springs. The entire space is embedded with elements inspired by strata, soil, springs, and water streams. Fragments of strata and spring motifs can be seen dancing on the ceiling next to floating fountain-like mirrors. The walls are finished with blue gradations that resemble water streams reflected in a fountain, and with a texture evocative of stone gravel in a geological formation. This creates an environment full of diverse rhythms of shadows and reflections, thereby magnifying the joy of those who pass through it.
Continue readingZafiri Cava Deli is a retail shop interior with a total area of 217 square metres. The design recalls an old mansion in the centre of the island. Imposing arches decorate the storefront and frame the window. Inside, metal and wood are combined with aged earth tones, and leather furniture adds a traditional character. Metal staircases recall an old library, while three balconies offer a view of the store from above. The cellar is treated as a classic traditional cellar. Chandeliers reinforce the island style.
Continue readingWestland Insurance is an office interior design created for a head office in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. The workplace covers 5500 square meters across six levels. The top floor holds the reception area, conference center, bistro and catering kitchen, and can also serve as an event space. A featured staircase connects the top two floors. The five lower floors contain 338 workstations, 38 offices and 34 meeting rooms. Support and collaboration areas repeat in similar positions on every floor to ease navigation. Concrete, wood and handwoven rugs create a calm setting.
