Sishi Bajie
Sishi Bajie is a Chinese restaurant interior covering 350 square metres in Nanning. The design follows a minimalist approach, using simple materials and refined forms. Concrete and wood create a natural atmosphere, while leather and wall painting add detail to the private dining rooms. Different materials and colours mark the functional areas, so physical partitions are reduced and the layout stays open. Screens, medicine cabinets, ceramics and carvings are interpreted in a modern way. A porch finished in black iron marks the transition into the open dining area.
Sishi Bajie Restaurant by Darble Kong was recognized as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Sishi Bajie Restaurant was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
