Humble Space
Humble Space is an office interior created for a design company in Zhangzhou. The project covers 125 square meters and is divided into a public area and a private area. The public area is used for receiving visitors, meetings, training and exchange. The private area is used for personal work and rest. Most of the existing decoration was removed, and only the original frames were kept. Floor glass and a block-shaped facade let natural light enter the space and reduce the use of indoor lighting. The calm and simple setting supports quiet and relaxed work.
Humble Space Office by De Weng & Jianfeng Liang was selected as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Humble Space Office earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
