Journey of Art
Journey of Art is a boutique hotel interior located in Taichung City, Taiwan, covering 4000 square meters. The ground floor holds the entrance lobby, with a cafe on the left and the hotel reception counter on the right. Black glass in the lobby reflects the space and makes the area appear larger, while the cafe counter uses a marble texture. Guest room corridors follow a cultural art theme, with variations of light, shadow and paintings. Each guest room includes an independent bathtub for a broader and more comfortable experience.
Journey of Art Boutique Hotel by J. O'Yang has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Journey of Art Boutique Hotel was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
