Birds Flying High
Birds Flying High is a residential interior design for a refurbished home in Taipei City, Taiwan. The residence covers 149 square meters and holds three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a balcony. Curved ceilings and a curved dining lamp recall wings and airflow. Indirect light from wall lamps and strip lights replaces most recessed fixtures. The interior is painted with zero VOC paint, and the furniture is detachable, repairable and movable. Doorways and hallways were widened so that children can move freely.
Birds Flying High Residential Interior by JUN-BIN HUANG has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Birds Flying High Residential Interior won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
