Zen Living
Zen Living is an apartment interior design based on calm and harmony. Ancestral memorial tablets are placed at the center of the home within an open plan layout, so worship becomes part of the living space. Outdoor scenery is blended with the interior. A multi-purpose area serves as a study, a meditation space and a gym. All partitions and platforms hold hidden storage. Natural materials such as terrazzo, wood grain walls and raw wooden decking create contrast and zoning, with gold metal accents and varied lighting scenes.
Zen Living Residential Apartment by CHEANG Hoi Fung has been selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Zen Living Residential Apartment earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
