Interpretation of Dream
Interpretation of Dream is a residential interior design for an apartment of about 165 square meters in Taiwan. The design combines Western and oriental influences. Traditional furniture and accessories are paired with modern artwork, fabrics and sculptural lights. A large upholstered sliding door conceals a storage room next to the dining area. The main wall of the master bedroom is covered with silk containing reflective metallic yarn, showing horizontal calligraphy-like lines and a marble veining pattern. The areas are divided by furniture layouts instead of walls.
Interpretation of Dream Residential by Wen Hsueh Wu was recognized as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Interpretation of Dream Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
