Platinum Refraction
Platinum Refraction is a residential interior design of approximately 327 square meters in Taipei, Taiwan. The home stands along the Keelung River and uses an open layout, so the living room, dining area and kitchen share natural light and river views. A piano screen divides the space while remaining semi permeable, and sliding doors open or close the kitchen. White surfaces with gold accents are combined with stone, titanium plated metal, leather and wood. Curved ceiling frameworks link the foyer, piano area and living room.
Platinum Refraction Residence by Chung Tai Hsieh was recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Platinum Refraction Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
