The Cross
The Cross is a coffee shop and cultural venue set in a basement in Taiwan. The design turns a dim area with limited natural light into a lively gathering place of 1200 square meters. Full color LED media walls span the interior surfaces and support interactive visual experiences. The bar counter is made of glass bricks with programmable LED lighting. Stainless steel and mirrored cladding reduce the visual weight of structural beams and columns. The open plan layout and flexible zoning host exhibitions, live music and community events.
The Cross Coffee Shop by Arthur Li has been recognized as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The Cross Coffee Shop received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
