Vessel in Urban
Vessel in Urban is a three-story residence designed for multi-generational family living in a busy downtown district. The building is made of fair-faced concrete and clad with large areas of glass paired with wood. Green landscapes are planted in the courtyard, terrace and balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows bring daylight and views of the plants into every room. Window placement was planned to protect privacy from nearby houses. Natural wood surfaces are finished with a lacquered shine, following traditional lacquerware craft. The construction area is 770 square meters.
Vessel in Urban Residence by Bao Chi Huei has been highlighted as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Vessel in Urban Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
