Merry Individual Habitats

Merry Individual Habitats is a residential interior design for a home of 136 square meters shared by a couple. The plan is divided into two thirds shared space and one third private space. Two bedrooms are placed at the quiet rear and are separated by a dressing room, and both are reached through a hallway, so each occupant can move in and out without disturbing the other. A folding door in the study forms a temporary glass room for phone meetings. Light and natural wood tones create a calm atmosphere.

Merry Individual Habitats Residential Space by Lo Hsiao-Li has been recognized as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Merry Individual Habitats Residential Space won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
