Songya
Songya is a residential interior design for a 355 square meter home in Guangzhou. The project follows a modern oriental approach. Chinese ink elements are expressed through contemporary materials, including natural wood, microcement, stone and metal. Curved contours and simple lines give the space a calm and harmonious character. Living, social and entertainment areas are arranged to suit daily needs. Semi-open areas such as large terraces link the interior with the outdoor environment. The intent is to offer a quiet and comfortable retreat within the city.
Songya Residential Interior Design by Weina Shi has been highlighted as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Songya Residential Interior Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
