Kouli
Kouli is an English language school interior located in New Taipei City. The 192 square meter space joins three buildings through a corridor placed beside a French window. The corridor follows a playground theme, so children can enjoy break time. The French window extends the view toward the outdoor garden and keeps the long corridor from looking narrow. The corridor floor uses an elastic sports mat of environmental material that reduces injuries when children run. Formaldehyde free paint and sound absorbing boards support a safe learning environment.
Kouli English Language School by Yang Zi Ying has been highlighted as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Kouli English Language School received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
