Bathing Sunshine
Bathing Sunshine is an office interior design created for an interior design studio in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The project transformed an old house into an open workplace. Traditional closed compartments were removed to create a free circulation route, allowing daylight and ventilation to flow through the space. Storage is placed along both side walls, and the bathroom and storage room entrances are hidden to release the sense of space. Ceiling height differences conceal pipes and define the reception, meeting and work areas. Non-toxic materials, wood and stone support a healthy environment.
Bathing Sunshine Office by Chiung Ying Hsu was recognized as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Bathing Sunshine Office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
