Huayue Palace
Huayue Palace is a private house interior design located in Chengdu, China. A high ceiling space between two floors improves ventilation and natural light in the public area. A pair of transparent wing sculptures replaces heavy chandeliers, honoring the resident who cares for stray animals. Work, reading and play areas are arranged along a long corridor beside the children's rooms, so adults can stay close. Shelters for cats, dogs and birds are placed in the roof garden. A fresh air system keeps temperature and humidity constant, quiet and clean.
Huayue Palace Private House by Hui Xie has been recognized as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Huayue Palace Private House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
