Nanhai Song
Nanhai Song is a dining space located in Shekou, Shenzhen, China, covering 1200 square meters. The interior draws on the surrounding mountains and sea. Layers of stone in the front hall outline the shapes of mountains and water. Two symmetrical table lamps recall lighthouses and give a calm sense of belonging. Each private dining room is named after an allusion and follows the same spatial composition, while the soft furnishings differ. An art cloister displays works inspired by the sea, and a staggered outdoor terrace offers garden and sea views.
Nanhai Song Dining Space by Qinjian Wang has been selected as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Nanhai Song Dining Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
