Sunshine Plant Nature
Sunshine Plant Nature is a commercial interior for a cooking classroom in Taipei, Taiwan. The 132 square meter space occupies the first floor of a former shopping mall. Scandinavian influences, pastel colors, a green planting wall and solid wood create a natural setting. A large bar table formed from curved bendable boards defines the central teaching area, and a separate operating area holds 16 ovens. Curved forms conceal the air conditioning ducts and cabling. An outdoor terrace of about 100 square meters extends the interior and gives pets space to rest and play.
Sunshine Plant Nature Commercial by Hung Ju Chen was featured as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Sunshine Plant Nature Commercial earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which honors superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
