Guide of the Light
This single story residence was renovated with a rational distribution of public and private spaces, in order to meet the needs of the client. A key concept was the installation of a row of double-sided cabinets, which discreetly divided the corridor-shaped entryway from the combined dining and kitchen area. This allowed for a space with plenty of turns, and ample storage for the public area.
Guide of the Light Residence by Wang Wei has been identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Guide of the Light Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
