Greenwich
Greenwich is a residential interior design for a small apartment in Taiwan. A mezzanine increases the usable area within the limited footprint. Glass and iron elements bring sunlight into every corner. Slender steel handrails and a staircase walkway divide the areas while keeping visual openness. The design recalls the iron staircases of Manhattan, where the owner once lived. The main materials are particle board, mineral water-based paint and stone plastic composite flooring, selected for low formaldehyde and low volatility.
Greenwich Residential by CHEN SHENG-YUAN has been featured as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Greenwich Residential won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
