Crescent
Crescent is a residential interior design for an apartment of 115 square meters in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The owner enjoys listening to music, so most acoustic equipment is embedded under a backlit ceiling arc. The arc forms a suspended crescent at the core of the living space and gives a warm glow for listening to music or watching films. Mineral paints continue from ceilings to floors, walls and doors, creating a continuum of storage. Marble paneling extends from the television wall into a floor inlay that holds the audio devices. A red pendant above the dining table adds contrast.
Crescent Residential Interior Design by Hsin Ting Weng was featured as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Crescent Residential Interior Design won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
