Beams of Light
Beams of Light is a residential interior design in New Taipei City, Taiwan, covering 414 square meters. An open-plan layout makes use of the large space and the windows on nearly all sides to divide common and private areas. Lattice elements at the entrance create a sense of order. A herringbone wooden floor guides movement, and a long hallway separates the earth toned dining area from the cool gray living room. Wood and stone give the interior a warm and calm character. The private rooms use wooden materials and natural light to support rest.
Beams of Light Residence by Teng-Sheng Tsao was selected as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Beams of Light Residence received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
