Optical Fibers
Optical Fibers is a residential interior design completed in Taiwan. Light and shadow guide the whole layout. The living room, study and dining room are connected without partitions, which keeps the space bright and open. An L shaped sofa and a writing desk divide the living room from the study without a solid wall. The television wall is built with stone, metal and wood, and grey tones are combined with titanium plated metal. Wooden cabinets add warmth. In the bedroom, an inclined ceiling with strip lights hides the low beams and columns.
Optical Fibers Residence by Yu-Wen Wang was identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Optical Fibers Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
