Pure Life
Pure Life is a residential interior design for a 126 square meter home in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The layout includes three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dressing room and a study. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring natural light into the rooms. A low chroma palette of black, white and gray softens color boundaries and adds visual layers. Stone, stucco and wood textures form a calm base, while wood is used more in the bedrooms. A projection screen replaces the television, and the former television wall becomes a cabinet for display and storage.
Pure Life Residential House by Kai Yueh Wang has been featured as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pure Life Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
