Light Path and Void
Light Path and Void is a residential interior design for a large apartment unit. A continuous white framed pattern is painted on the ceiling of the public zone. The pattern directs a visual path and softens the effect of a heavy beam above the living room. Double curved ceiling lines elongate the visual height. Tile bands and wood reduce glare on the polished marble surface in the living room. The dining room and island table face an open view. Standing light posts and hidden lighting fixtures create a calm evening ambience.
Light Path and Void Residential House by George Wang has been highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Light Path and Void Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022.
