A Full Circle
A Full Circle is a residential interior design project of 112 square meters located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Circles and arcs are the main elements of the space. A recessed circle in the ceiling with embedded lighting gently separates the public area into living and dining rooms. Wooden walls connect to the floor, and the natural wood grain adds an elegant and comfortable quality. A floor-to-ceiling window brings sunlight and a panoramic view into the open space. The circle also symbolizes the unity and wholeness of a family.
A Full Circle Residence by Jhih-Yong Jhang has been recognized as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. A Full Circle Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
