Exotic Mashups
Exotic Mashups is a residential interior design created for a model house of about 70 pings in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The layout joins colonial style with a mix of eastern and western elements. Vintage furniture collected in southeast Asia is placed across the rooms. Warm wooden and ivory tones, a framed barrel headboard and a button trimmed sofa define the character of the space. Large French windows draw daylight inside and reveal the outdoor area. A sunken balcony links the main bedroom with the open living, dining and kitchen area.
Exotic Mashups Residential by Shin-Lan Chao has been identified as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Exotic Mashups Residential won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design award which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
