The Carmel
The Carmel is a residential interior design for a family of three in Hong Kong. The home covers 1,722 square feet and was completed in December 2020. A white palette is combined with light oak furniture in the living and dining area to create a relaxing, resort-like mood. Large windows bring daylight into the rooms. The open plan living and dining area removes barriers between family members. Two large ceiling lights make use of the high ceiling. Two rooms were converted into a game room and a study room. Full height cabinets provide storage.
The Carmel Interior Design by Grande Development Limited was featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The Carmel Interior Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
