Floating Box
Floating Box is an office interior design created for a building materials company. The space measures 50 square meters and has a ceiling height of four meters. The original double height is divided into two levels by an L-shaped mezzanine. Steel wire supports a hollow iron staircase and holds up an upper office enclosed in black glass, giving the impression of a suspended box. The television wall is made of plain concrete. Simple materials such as iron, wood and glass keep the small office visually light and open.
Floating Box Office by TENG-SYU TSENG was identified as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Floating Box Office earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
