Early Spring and Poetry
Early Spring and Poetry is a residential interior design based on a traditional Hakka house. The layout follows the Hakka spatial arrangement. The main hall, study room, kitchen and guest room combine Hakka elements with oriental ink painting. A gray-scale color scheme gives the rooms a calm and poetic character. A half-moon pond, once used for water storage and fire fighting, closes the view at the entrance plaza. Part of the walls use algae earth to purify the air and adjust humidity. The interior area is 992 square meters.
Early Spring and Poetry Residence by Yu-Da Wang was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Early Spring and Poetry Residence received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
