Dance the Bossa Nova
Dance the Bossa Nova is a residential interior design for a home of about 125 square meters. The layout includes an entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. White surfaces, soft curves, bright furniture and warm wooden elements define the space. A brass arch at the open entryway frames views of the living room and the outdoor greenery. Large floor-to-ceiling windows and gauze curtains filter the daylight. Curved cabinet edges echo the shape of the canopy and reduce the heavy effect of the large beams.
Dance the Bossa Nova Residential House by Yi-Min Chu was recognized as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Dance the Bossa Nova Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
