Merry Coast
Merry Coast is the interior design of a 280 square meter apartment in Ningbo, China. The layout is inspired by piano melodies, and the plan follows a broad and calm order. Natural light enters the rooms through curtain-like glass windows. Simple and elegant base colors support a quiet atmosphere. A round mirror in the dining hall reflects the room and widens the view. Paintings and small decoration units mark the walls and corners, so each area gains its own character. The materials include carpet, stone, wood finish and furniture.
Merry Coast Flat by Suping Zhuo has been recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Merry Coast Flat was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
