Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet
Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet is a restaurant interior designed for banquets in Nanning City, China. The layout draws on the traditional Chinese three-in-one courtyard system, which is deconstructed and reorganized into a semi-enclosed and transparent sequence of spaces. Large curved forms and metal grids divide the areas, so views remain connected while zones stay distinct. The facade combines a stainless steel structure with a large glass curtain wall, mirrored in a pool. Black, white and bronze gold tones are joined by wood finishes for a simple and elegant result.
Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant by Liu Haodong has been recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
