Dongying
Dongying is a hair salon interior design of 400 square meters located in Shanghai. The design is inspired by cyberpunk culture and combines intelligent technology with a modern style. The main entrance bar is shaped with transparent geometry that creates a visual sense of dislocation. The front desk area is joined with the product display area, where glass shelves and light lines present the products. The hair cutting area is extended with box elements. Glass is the main material of the dyeing area. The washing area is separated by a double velvet soft curtain for privacy.
Dongying Boutique by Jason Chan was highlighted as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Dongying Boutique was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
