Life
Life is an exhibition hall interior in Xi'an, China, covering 1000 square meters. The design blends modern methods with Chinese and Asian traditions. References to shadow puppet art, green tea culture and ancient architecture are embedded in the space. Colors are drawn from natural sources, including the scenery of the Qinling Mountains, Lantian jade and the Weihe River. Metal, wood and stone are combined in the reception area. Glass and other transparent materials let sunlight pass through the rooms. The negotiation area is arranged symmetrically.
Life Exhibition Hall by Lely Guo was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Life Exhibition Hall received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
