Beauty Contest
Beauty Contest is a residential interior design completed in Taipei, Taiwan, in April 2019. The home covers 165 square meters. Angular lines extend from the foyer toward the windows, creating a balance between volume and familiarity. The hallway is lined with light marble walls set with thin strips of light. Linear lighting also marks the private areas. A monochromatic floor supports a classical mood, while wooden tones near the dining area suggest quiet leisure. The design seeks strength and beauty from many viewing angles.
Beauty Contest Residential Space by Yun Yih Interior Design Company was highlighted as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Beauty Contest Residential Space won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
