Life Savoring
Life Savoring is a residential interior design for an apartment in Taipei, Taiwan. The interior covers about 119 square meters and includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, balcony, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Black, white and wood tones form the main palette. Display cabinets are avoided to reduce visual weight and to keep a simple spatial order. The layout is barrier-free, and handrails are placed in each space. Space is also kept for the later installation of safety facilities, so the home suits the occupants during retirement.
Life Savoring Residence by Yueh Ju Tsai was featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Life Savoring Residence was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
