Yearning For Art
Yearning For Art is a residential interior design completed in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The interior uses a black, white and gray color system to create a calm and modern atmosphere. The public area is open and spacious, linking the living room, dining room and kitchen island, and a long table with several seats is placed in the dining room for guests. Glass sliding doors divide the public and private areas and protect privacy. Special paint, marble-like tile, rust-copper tile, titanium-plated sheet and wooden louvers give the walls a layered, three-dimensional texture.
Yearning For Art Residence by Yan Ru Chen was featured as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yearning For Art Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
