Bologna
Bologna is a private house interior design located in Haicheng, Liaoning, China. The residence covers 350 square meters and includes three floors and a garden. The design takes its inspiration from Bologna, the capital of Emilia Romagna in northern Italy and the birthplace of Ducati. A restrained, sculptural and post-modern atmosphere was created for a client who admires motorcycles. Marble, black steel, leather, glass and wood are combined in simple tones. A classic Ducati motorcycle forms the main focal point of the interior.
Bologna Private House by Lei Zhao has been highlighted as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Bologna Private House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
