The Manliness Attitude

The Manliness Attitude is a residential interior design completed in Hong Kong in 2019. The home was planned for a resident who works in the financial industry from home and lives with a dog. White walls finished in eco paint leave open space for an art collection. Wood, stone, black chrome stainless steel and wrought iron add texture, while grey, brown and black form a consistent colour scheme. A work area adjoins the living room and can be separated by a glass door. Laminated stone-like surfaces suit the humid mountain setting.

The Manliness Attitude Residential Interior Design by Andy Wan has been recognized as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Manliness Attitude Residential Interior Design received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
