Wolo Hotel
Wolo is a hotel located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The interior design reflects Malaysian culture and the Wolo brand values in a contemporary and bold way. The history of Kuala Lumpur is a central theme. The reception counter and the grand entrance handle are handmade and finished with custom pewter, recalling the long history of pewter production in the city. The layered topography of local mining fields is used as a pattern for the corridor carpet, the ceiling pendant lights and the room mirrors. A feature wall in the lobby refers to the meaning of the city name, muddy confluence.
Wolo Hotel Hotel by Andy Wong was identified as an innovative representation of service design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wolo Hotel Hotel was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design in 2020. The A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that rewards outstanding design of hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafes, bars, cruise ships, theme parks, travel experiences and more.
