Rebirth
Rebirth is a residential interior design for an apartment in Taipei, Taiwan. The home covers about 82.64 square meters and contains a master bedroom, two further bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and two bathrooms. The original cabinets were kept and refinished instead of being removed. Discarded hardwood was reused to build the dining table, the coffee table and a lattice in the dining room. Pandomo, plaster, hardwood flooring, hardwood veneer and steel spray paint give the rooms a retro industrial character. The result is a minimal and warm home.
Rebirth Residence by Chien-Hui Pai, Chun-Hung Yang was identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rebirth Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
