Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : Japanese Cherry Blossom .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : Its a statement masterpiece, We wanted to produce fine jewellery piece that is close to the natural Cherry Clossom .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : We would like to exhibit the piece and create a jewellery line that is inspired by it, yet wearable for daily use .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : It took a month of design and R&D .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : It was a commissioned piece .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : Hairaat Fine Jewellery intend to reproduce similar smaller pieces off this design .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : It was a commissioned piece for our clientele .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : No .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : High Net Individuals who want a unique one of piece ( Bespoke made to measure ) .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : The colour combination and the use of semi precious stones to create a High Jewellery Piece .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : The nickname of the lady who commissioned the piece is Sakura which means Cherry Blossom in Japanese. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : It was sketched by hand on paper .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : Semi precious stones were cut specially for the rotating centre flowers .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : With my team at the workshop .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : It was handmade, technology wasn't a part of it .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : No .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : To make a flexible piece that is light and can cascade naturally on the women's neck area. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : Sakura is masterpiece and it deserve to be recognized .Frank Scott: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : The way we handled the piece movement to be fixable gave me a different approach towards future projects .Frank Scott: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?. Nada Khamis Al-Sulaiti : No .
